Obtaining / Updating a Card
Requesting a New Card
To have a travel card, an employee must either travel a minimum of three times per year, incur $2000 in expenses per year, or be responsible for booking travel on behalf of another person or department.
All new requests are submitted through Workday® using the Create Request business process and selecting Credit Card Request. When requesting a travel card, please specify if you need a traveler card or an administrative card.
Updating a Current Card
All requests to update a travel card limit, change the name, open merchant codes, etc., are submitted through Workday® using the Create Request business process and selecting Request Update to Credit Card Information.
Cancelling a Card
Travel cards are not transferable. If a cardholder is leaving the university or no longer needs a travel card, the department or cardholder should contact the Administrator of Travel Credit Card Services, who will cancel the card in the bank.
